There is a difference in the early  morning air today, ever so slightly cooler and moister.  A barely discernable difference that often causes me to doubt my thoughts: it's 'that day - ' that August day that happens each and every year, always taking me by surprise.  "That day" is the tease that says summer is on the wane and fall is on the cusp.  The sun will warm us vibrantly and bring temperatures into the upper 70's (if the forecast holds true); but the nights will be deliciously cool and so perfect for sleeping beneath a cover.  We have had several weeks of hot and way too dry; the lack of rain also unfortunately meant the lack of abundant blueberries and raspberries; but the rains that came on Saturday soaked the ground refreshing not only the soil, but the spirits of us all.
